Those expatriates, who are going to work in Russia as the official employees under contracts with the Russian firms, require to get "Work Permit", which is issued by the Migration Department of Moscow.
This procedure takes 40 days and costs in total (including our service and taxes) approximately 240 $ + cost of the one-way ticket to the country of an applicant's citizenship.
When a contract between an expatriate and a Russian firm is terminated or expired, the amount paid for the ticket will be refunded.
The duration of a "Work Permit" is one year.
Further it could be prolonged for the same period.
The prolongation also cost approximately $ 240, but you don't need to pay for a one-way ticket in this case.

You have to register your passport only after you have received "work permit".
It is the stamp in your passport with the information about your name, address in Moscow, and sometimes your position ( it is equal to the official "employee card").
It usually takes 5 days to registrer your passport.
The cost will be 30$.
